i know photoshopping negs has a higher priority, but it's not really my favourite occupation :p

thanks for the monitor hint! btw... i recently started reading the Ansel Adams series you once recommended me. very interesting readings! ;)

as you might have noticed, i crawled back in my dark hole again for a few months :p but i'm going to make a real effort to post more in the future! ;)

Photochopping your negs should have higher priority than your blog design, it's about photos, not design, right? :p Look who's talking, the guy who hasn't posted in a year or so ;).

When it comes to calibration you won't really need it for a b/w-photo, rather check the histogram (i.e. in Lightroom) and make sure whites are on the right, blacks are on the left etc., often just working with the histogram is more reliable than just judging by how you see it. The longer you sit in front of a monitor the less you see sometimes.

Anyways, keep posting, good to see you back and still into it. Think that's the main thing. If you post, others will, and soon the dA-photographers-gone-bloggers will return from their dark holes they're hiding in since months. ;)
